FRB

FRB stands for Front Running Bastard (or the sanitized “Front Runner Best” in some kennels). The term refers to the fastest runners in the pack who consistently reach the front of the hash.

Characteristics

• Naturally competitive pace despite hashing being “non-competitive”
• Often find themselves waiting at checks while the rest of the pack catches up
• May be accused of shortcutting or cheating by the Religious Advisor during down-downs

Social Dynamics

While hashing officially has no winners, FRBs are simultaneously admired for their speed and mocked for their inability to relax and enjoy the social aspect. In many kennels, FRBs are ceremonially punished during circle time for their transgression of running too fast.
