Naming Convention
Kennel names typically follow the pattern: [Location] Hash House Harriers or [Location] H3
Examples:
- Kuala Lumpur Hash House Harriers (the Mother Hash)
- San Francisco Hash House Harriers (SFH3)
- Tokyo Full Moon Hash
Independence
Each kennel is autonomous:
- Sets its own run schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
- Develops local traditions and customs
- Elects or appoints its own mismanagement
- May have different rules about women, dogs, children
Interhash Events
- Interhash: International gathering hosted by different countries
- Nash Hash: National gathering (e.g., United States)
- Red Dress Run: Annual charity event held by many kennels
- Full Moon Hash: Night hashes held on full moons
