SCB

SCB stands for Short Cutting Bastard (or “Short Cutting Best”). This refers to a hasher who habitually finds ways to skip parts of the trail, often arriving at the beer checks or finish with suspiciously little effort.

Cultural Context

Unlike traditional running, where cutting the course is cheating, shortcutting in hashing is often treated with humorous tolerance. SCBs are celebrated as clever opportunists who prioritize beer over exertion. Some kennels even award special recognition to creative shortcutters.
